As a facilitator for the Strengthening Families Program 10-14, I have experienced, firsthand, the value of the program for families as they learn to communicate effectively, empathize with one another’s feelings, and grow together. This program pushes families out of their established comfort zone and requires them to feel, think, and speak differently. I am proud to be part of a program that has such a profound and lasting impact on families in a seven week period.
The Strengthening Families Program 10-14 provided us tools to use to communicate effectively with our children. It also taught how to assign chores and deal with situations when our children aren’t listening or being respectful. Our son -enjoyed the program and had a chance to explore his future including goals that he may like to pursue. Overall, it is a beneficial program that provides great tips and strategies to help you be the best parents you can be!
My goal is to be a “blessing” to my community. The Social Development training helps me, as a teacher, move beyond “wishing” there was something I could do to help my students develop those behaviors that will enable them to be successful; to having real, specific,proven strategies that I can use to help students and parents understand and overcome their barriers to achievement.
